Patagonia National Park Volunteer Program: Applications Open to Help Restore Darwin’s Rhea Habitat
Support the conservation of native wildlife and flora in Chile's Aysén Region by applying to the second edition of this program.
Supporting the restoration of Darwin’s rhea (ñandú) habitat is the primary goal of the 2026 Volunteer Program in Chile’s Aysén Region, led by Rewilding Chile in partnership with CONAF (National Forestry Corporation).
Over the course of 10 days, volunteers will work at Patagonia National Park, taking part in hands-on conservation activities such as ecological restoration and the control and removal of invasive plant species, including pine and poison hemlock.

The program will take place between November and December of this year across two separate cycles, which applicants can choose from when filling out the form. Applications are open from July 31 through August 8.
